The Floral Farmhouse Table Runner Kit includes lovely fabrics by Cotton + Steel Fabrics. The matching Sulky Filaine Thread gives a vintage quality look to the quilting, done either by hand or machine.

The super fun, super spooky Halloween Pinnacle Table Runner Kit includes brand new hauntingly sweet Halloween-inspired fabrics by Riley Blake. Both kits come with the specialty ruler needed to create these quick-to-sew blocks, which can combine to create at least five different table runner versions.

PIECING & PLANNING

There’s no need to decide on the layout of your table runner before piecing the blocks. You’ll need 48 total blocks to create four rows of 12 for the table runner. But you can also think outside the box! Create a square table topper or set of place mats, using the same fabrics and blocks.

After piecing all 48 blocks, arrange them on a flat work surface until the desired layout is achieved.

After the piecing is complete, create a quilt sandwich with low-loft batting and backing fabric.

Then, quilt the runner using the 12 wt. Filaine Thread included in the kit. You’ll have six spool colors to choose from. Use all six for a fun eclectic look! Quilt by hand or machine – both techniques are included in the FREE webcast.

For the featured sample, the Halloween Table Runner was first quilted using the neutral  50 wt. Cotton Thread that’s included in the kit (for piecing). Then, following the machine stitches, the big stitch quilting was added over the top every two stitches. This kept the stitches equidistant and the same length across the entire table runner top.
