Thisinnovative piecing technique allows you to createperfect points, rows and columns every time.Arrange the precut fabricstoshowcase a heart or flagthat haspatriotic flair. Then quilt the finished piece and display it as a mini quilt, wall hanging, table topper, fusible appliqué and more.
NOTE: The orientation of the blue section shown on the flag above is in accordance to U.S. flag etiquette, which states that the blue field be in the upper left corner when displayed. If you choose to display the flag in a horizontal orientation, rather than vertical as shown, you’ll want to place the blue field in the upper left corner as well. This will be discussed during the webcast, along with different piecing plans you can choose for your panel.
The featured Heart or Flag panel measures approximately 18″ x 22″, depending on orientation. Use the panel in myriad ways – as a focal piece on the back of a jacket; as a garden flag; in a tote bag design; as the center of a larger quilt; as a table topper & more!
You’ll learn how to create your own grid and make a piecing plan to create either a heart or flag pattern.
Once you learn the main technique, you can experiment with different piecing plans, projects and quilting styles.
