ABOUT THE EMBROIDERED LOUNGE PANTS
The comfortable walking pants are constructed with a soft fabric that has no no show-through when bending or stretching.
Use a serger for quick construction or a standard sewing machine, with three hemming options. Add machine embroidery to one or both side panels before construction to add personalization and color to the basic style, which is versatile for any time of year.
ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Pittsburgh Walking Pant pattern by Amanda’s Bundles has several variation options. For this tutorial (and for the kit) the Capri length with side panels and side pockets version is illustrated, but the same construction and embroidery instructions apply for all styles. The kit includes enough Peached Performance fabric for the following sizes and styles: Mini, Biker Mini in sizes XXS-10X or Capri, Crop Full, Yoga, Pant in XXS-2X. (One additional yard of fabric is required for the Capri, Crop Full, Yoga, Pant in 3X-10X.) You’ll need to download and print the pattern PDF in your size, and then tape together the pieces before cutting it out. Instructions for preparing & tiling the pattern are included with the Session.
The pant includes a comfortable gusset, making these lounge pants nice for everyday wear, workout wear and sleepwear, too. This pant pattern has a generous amount of ease, so the fit is comfortable and roomy.
Pocket patterns are included and encouraged for your embroidered lounge pants! Choose from side panel pockets or back pockets (or both) to have essentials stored while walking, exercising and in lounge-mode.
NOTE: The Embroidered Lounge Pants Kit includes 2 yards of fabric in a basic brushed Charcoal/Black solid with the option to add a second kit in another colorway (choose from Brushed Pink or Galaxy Black). Use a second kit for another pair of pants and/or as an accent print for the pant (think pockets, waistband, cuffs). If making the size 3x or above, you’ll want a second kit (or two of the same kit) to have enough fabric.
ABOUT THE KIT
Grab a kit to have high-quality Peached Performance Fabric that’s lightly brushed for an incredibly soft hand. “Peached” means the right side is slightly brushed. This mediumweight fabric has 4-way stretch and no show-through when bending or stretching. Also included are the threads and stabilizer needed for machine embroidery accents.

- 2 yards of 58″-wide Two-Tone Charcoal/Black Peached Performance Fabric (Enough for Mini, Biker Mini in sizes XXS-10X or Capri, Crop Full, Yoga, Pant in XXS-2X. Sizes 3X-10X in the latter styles requires 3 yards total)
- 4 spools of Sulky 50 wt. Cotton Thread: Almost Black (construction)
- 1 spool of Sulky Poly Deco™ Thread: Gold (machine embroidery)
- 1 spool of 30 wt. Poly Sparkle™: Gold with Gold Sparkle (optional machine embroidery & topstitching)
