PATCHES EMBROIDERY SESSION

In this ALL THE PATCHES Embroidery Session, you’ll learn how to create all sorts of different freestanding patches. You’ll work in the hoop of your embroidery machine in this self-guided, start-anytime Session! Plus, you’ll turn practice to project using a special curated patch design collection from Embroidery Library & Urban Threads, with or without a kit.

Plus, learn how to customize a blank patch using a design of your choice. We’ll show you how to merge design files and how to use your own artwork to create a patch that’s all your own. Learn how to navigate a digitizing site or digitize your own patch designs using specialty software. All skill levels are welcome!

We’ll also teach you several ways to attach patches to projects, including freestanding, appliqué and in-the-hoop methods.

You’ll learn about different patch types, including those with fabric bases and those made entirely of thread. Plus, learn when and how to add a backing to a patch and how to create a fusible patch, too!

This Embroidery Session includes several Lessons, with multiple sections within each Lesson to navigate through at your own pace. With numerous video tutorials and extra instructions within each Lesson taking you through the steps, you’ll feel confident at the sewing machine no matter your skill level. The “Crafty Merit Badge” designs measure 2.53″ x 2.52″ and are suitable for 4×4 hoops. The designs can be combined into a larger hoop to stitch multiples without rehooping, if desired.

The “Blank Patch” designs vary in size slightly, and all but the “Rectangle” fit in a 4×4 hoop. The Rectangle design requires a 5×7 hoop.
