WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Learn Sashiko stitching techniques using six available patterns. Sashiko is a traditional Japanese hand-stitching technique that uses simple running stitches to create geometric patterns, often on indigo-dyed fabric. The stitching typically features white thread on dark fabric, emphasizing contrast and texture. We’ll demonstrate this technique using Version 1 of the available kits for this Session.
Learn how to add decorative quilting by machine to embellish the faux leather version of Sabrina. Plus, learn tips for working with faux leather for smooth stitching every time.
Learn how to construct Sabrina with several videos that are accompanied by posts that include photos and written instructions.

SABRINA KITS

There are two kit options, depending on the colors you love and stitching you want to feature on your bag.

Version 1 features beautiful Navy Canvas fabric paired with Rustic Sapphire Cork contrast fabric and Antique Hardware. This kit also includes the thread and printable stabilizer sheets for Sashiko work.

Version 2 features classic Brown Legacy Faux Leather and Brown Pebble Faux Leather contrast fabric, with Gold Hardware. This kit does not include any printable stabilizer sheets, as machine quilting is recommended for these fabrics.
