SANDHILL SLING EVENT DETAILS

Together with sewists from across the country, we’ll create a compact, hands-free sling-style bag using faux waxed canvas for a vintage, weathered appearance. Decorative webbing and coordinating thread add color and style to the bag. During the LIVE event, you’ll learn tips for the most difficult parts of the bag construction.

Plus, we’ll embellish the front pocket using either machine embroidery, hand embroidery, Sashiko or free-motion techniques to add texture and interest.

Choose from three exclusive designs and/or printable templates, FREE with purchase of the event, perfectly sized for the pocket piece.

This go-to bag is great for travel, walking and hiking, as the fabric is dirt-repellant, water-resistant and durable. The kit comes in two colorways, both in great neutrals to coordinate with your wardrobe effortlessly.

The Sandhill Sling Videocast Kit for this event includes everything you need to create the Sandhill Sling, with two colorways to choose from: Blackboard (right, below) or Earth (left, below). The Blackboard colorway includes hardware in a nickel finish; the Earth colorway includes hardware in an antique finish. Designer cotton lining fabric may vary between kits.
