AVOCADO GUY PREP & HOOPING

Load the Avocado Guy Key Ring design into the embroidery machine.

If desired, duplicate the design to stitch more than one in one hooping. Be mindful of the placement of each to allow enough room for the front and back fabrics to not interfere with the outline stitching of other stitchouts.

Hoop a layer of Sulky Tear-Easy Stabilizer. Place the hoop onto the machine.

STITCHOUT

Stitch step 1, which are the placement stitches for the front fabric.

Then, remove the hoop from the machine or direct it to move to the “trim position.” Place the front fabric over the placement stitches, completely covering them, using KK 2000 to secure.

Place the hoop back on the machine or to the “Current stitch position.”

Stitch step 2, which is the inner Avocado Guy outline.

STITCHOUT FINISHING

Remove the hoop from the machine. Flip over the hoop so the wrong side is facing up.

Place the backing fabric right side up over the placement stitches on the back of the stabilizer. Use Kk 2000 and Clear Embroidery Tape to secure the fabric.

Place the hoop back onto the machine, making sure the fabric doesn’t roll or shift.

Make sure to have matching thread in the bobbin for the last step of the stitchout. Stitch step 5, which are the Key Fob outline stitches.

KEY FOB FINISHING

Remove the hoop from the machine and the stabilizer from the hoop.

Carefully tear away the stabilizer beyond the outline stitches.

Then, Trim the Avocado Guy Key Ring about 1/8″ from the outline stitches through all layers.

Fold the Key Ring tab in half toward the back. If using KAM snaps, poke a hole through all layers approximately 3/8″ from the upper edge of the inner Avocado Guy outline stitching. Then, unfold the tab.

Insert the female (with cap) and male (with cap) at each tab hole.

Fold the tab around the D-ring, D-ring Swivel Clip or Key Ring and snap shut.

If not using KAM snaps, wrap the tab around the chosen ring and then stitch close to the tab end through all layers. You may find it easiest to use a zipper foot to stitch as close to the ring as possible.

Repeat to create Avocado Guy Key Fobs for all of your avocado-loving friends!
