    Two summers ago, my closest friend received the awful news. She had breast cancer. The last two years have been spent getting operations, chemo, radiation, and more operations. I remember two Octobers ago sitting in the chemo room with my friend. We were looking at a magazine and seeing all the ads about Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We chuckled at the irony.
