Freestanding Butterflies in the Hoop
FREE Sulky Webinar Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 2pm EDT
Creating freestanding butterflies in the hoop of your embroidery machine is easy if you use the right stabilizer and follow the steps provided by the digitizer. You’re probably familiar with freestanding lace, which is another freestanding technique. This design is technically freestanding appliqué. Similar to making a patch in the hoop of your machine, creating this butterfly is made of mostly thread (like lace making) but with the addition of fabric.
Choose different fabrics, from batiks to double-sided prints, to create all sorts of different butterflies!
In our free webinar on June 9, 2020 at 2pm EDT, you’ll learn how to not only embroider the beautiful butterflies, but also create 10 projects using the butterflies.
This versatile project is great for home décor, accessories and even garments. We enlisted some of our industry friends to create butterflies in their style to give you some great inspiration for tons of projects.
Register to join us for the LIVE webinar with Ellen March, Sulky Director of Content. During the hour-long webinar, you’ll learn fun new sewing techniques, tips and tricks for freestanding embroideries and more. We’ll answer your questions live and have tons of fun together. Plus, you’ll be eligible to win great door prizes during the event, too!
If you can’t make it live, register anyway! You’ll be able to access the event on-demand anytime after the live event, so you can watch and rewatch at your leisure.
Here’s just one great project you can make with these freestanding butterflies in the hoop.
On the day of the webinar, we’ll have a steal of a deal on the webinar kit, including the Flight of Fancy Butterfly thread palette and design downloads (with butterflies in two sizes) and a 3-yard package of Sulky Ultra Solvy, the stabilizer you MUST HAVE to create the butterflies and give them shape.
