Paradigm Fabric Collection + Free Quilt Pattern

Karie Jewell takes us along for the ride with the Paradigm fabric collection blog hop! It’s always fun to see what designers create when inspired by a new fabric collection. This Paradigm fabric collection lends itself to lots of springtime projects, with it’s butterfly and geometric motifs and calming color palette. Once you see what Karie created you’ll be inspired to make something with the paradigm fabric collection, too!

New Paradigm Fabric Collection

From Karie:

Today I’m joining the Paradigm Showcase Tour to celebrate Sarah Thomas’ debut fabric line, Paradigm. This group of colorful fabrics is ideal for one of my favorite things – fussy-cutting!  I’ve created a brand new pattern to mark the occasion, using a couple of my favorite Sulky products – Soft ‘n Sheer™ Extra Stabilizer and Invisible Polyester Thread.

Jeweled Baubles features fun with circles in an arrangement that reminds me of the costume beads our grandmothers wore back in the day. This quilt pattern, featuring the Paradigm fabric collection, is the perfect pattern for showing off your fussy-cutting skills or to showcase some of your favorite fabrics.

The Sulky Hydrangea 30-wt Blendables thread would look great in lieu of invisible thread, if you want your quilting to really stand out. Or try the Twilight Blendables for a richer hue. Quilting with 30-wt thread requires a larger needle, but the thread gives a nice textured look to the finished quilt. If you haven’t tried it before, create a test block and see how you like the different thread weights before deciding what type to use in your quilt.

Visit Karie’s blog to download your free copy of this fun pattern. While you’re there, check out the list of other talented makers on the Tour for even more inspiration.
