Free Autumn Cross-Stitch Chart – Candle with Flame

    August 19, 2022 /

Free Autumn Cross-Stitch Chart designed by Frony Ritter Welcome the warm hues of Autumn with this FREE Autumn Cross-Stitch Chart, designed by Frony Ritter. Stitched using Sulky Filaine™ Petites™ Thread, this design “blooms” when brushed with the Filaine Wire Brush, creating a 3-D effect. Begin cross-stitching just the flame glow, and then brush it out to your liking. Then proceed with the remaining design or leave the design un-brushed while still achieving a slightly “fuzzy” texture. ABOUT FILAINE PETITES FOR CROSS-STITCH Filaine Petites are available on a 50-yard spool, making them perfect for smaller projects and handwork, such as cross-stitch. Available as single spools, curated seasonal packs and as Slimline…

EMBROIDERY HOOP ART WITH AUTUMN LEAVES Create hand embroidered wall art to display inside a wooden embroidery hoop to welcome in the fall leaves. Beautiful wool felt comes in pretty heathered shades, which work well for this project. But any stable fabric will work as well – even craft felt. The inspiration for this project is from Rebecca Greco’s Rainbow Felt Wreath, which is reimagined with different shapes of leaves and Sulky Blendables® 12 wt. Thread. Free-Motion Maple Leaf Embroidery + a Free Project for Fall

    October 12, 2019 /

Give this Free-Motion Maple Leaf Embroidery a Try! Is it a free-motion maple leaf or a thread painted maple leaf? Sulky uses these terms somewhat interchangeably. However, thread painting is a more detailed representation of the work. Notice the layers of colors and shading put into this maple leaf, using only thread!  It is done by free-motion stitching, but the technique really is thread painting. You can learn both techniques with this free project. Plus, you’ll thread-sketch a free-motion maple leaf that’s as pretty from the fabric front as the fabric back. Switch the bobbin thread color each time you switch thread colors to make the project reversible. This work…

Hibernating Hedgehog In-The-Hoop Project A Hibernating Hedgehog Cutlery Holder is just what you need for your fall tablescape! This in-the-hoop design is free with the purchase of our brand-new fall thread palette, designed by Sweet Pea. It’s designed for a 5×7 hoop. To make this project, you’ll also need either Sulky Ultra Solvy (my preference) or Tear-Easy stabilizer. October 22, 2016 /

Not that you could tell by the temperatures outside, Fall is in full swing. That means it’s time to make some fun Fall-ish stuff for the house (Don’t tell my hubby, he thinks we have too many Fall decorations as it is). I had some burlap laying around, and I wanted to test the boundaries of machine embroidery on burlap and the results are so cute! I love my new table runner!
